666 chapters, 5.5 million words, 1 year and 7 months, and also the third anniversary of my writing career. So many “full years!”
It’s an auspicious day for people with obsessive-compulsive disorder.
I, Old Tian, calculated that it should end today!
The book The Wizard.
At the beginning, the overall structure outline was planned to be 5-6 million words, and it was completed at 5.5 million words, which was similar to Lao Tian’s psychological expectation. Lao Tian dare not say that 100% of the holes have been filled, but 99% of the holes have been filled, I believe everyone has no objection.
In other words, there is nothing left to write about this book now. If I continue writing, it will be like creating a nesting doll multiverse. I don’t want to write it, and current readers don’t want to read it either.
As for the extra chapter, there doesn’t seem to be much to write about.
Instead of spending this time preparing a new book.
Regardless of everyone’s perception, Lao Tian has put in all his efforts in writing this book, although it is still mediocre and has many shortcomings.
But Lao Tian was very satisfied that he could finish it successfully.
In the past three years, including an old book with two million words outside the site and the last flop book with 600,000 words, Lao Tian has written eight million words.
Finish writing this book.
Lao Tian’s worldview of online writing and his own writing methodology have just begun to take shape. Lao Tian’s journey of writing online has just begun.
Before I can no longer write, there will definitely be a fourth, fifth, and even tenth online article to write. I know my own strengths and weaknesses, so I don’t dare to ask for too much. I just hope that through learning and hard work, I can make a little progress with each book.
Whether it is writing skills or grades.
Looking back over the past year and a half, the performance of this book has been relatively stable. After reaching 10,000 subscriptions in January last year, the follow-up subscriptions and average subscriptions have been steadily increasing. When it was close to 3 million words, it reached its peak after the Dark Ancient Tower dungeon. After 3 million words, it slowly declined due to various factors.
But within the normal range, there should be no big crash.
The serialization time, monthly ticket list and bestseller list have been stable for a long time, more than 100, for a wizard novel with an initial order of more than 2,000. Lao Tian has performed exceptionally well, and I don’t have too many regrets so far.

This book has many imperfections, and Lao Tian has summarized some of them. I will take a break for the next two or three months, read more books to recharge myself, and strive to make the new book better.
As for the type of the new book, I haven’t decided yet. Anyway, it won’t be a wizard novel. This 5.5 million-word book has already burned out all my passion for this subject. If I write about the same subject again, it would be less interesting than going to work.
