1224. Chapter 1219 Tingbao VS Tululong (Two in One)

“Xunxun!”

Little Xunbao shouted, cheering for the Earth Dragon.

The surrounding insect-type pets also shouted, cheering for the Earth Dragon.

These guys are all in the same group… Little Xunbao glanced at the surrounding insect-type pets, then looked at Tingbao with a worried look.

This was first place, and there was no telling if Lao Liu could win.

“Tu Tu!”

Inside the barrier, the Earth Dragon roared, and the grass where Tingbao was standing suddenly tore apart, revealing a towering rock spike.

Tingbao sensed the ground shaking and tearing, twisting his body and quickly rising, dodging the rock spike’s attack.

The Earth Dragon pursed its mouth and sprayed upward with streams of mud like bombs.

Tingbao moved quickly, but the mud was even faster. Although he changed direction, he was still hit by the mud.

“Bang!”

With a loud noise, the mud exploded.

The surrounding insect-type pets cheered.

“Xunxun!” Little Xunbao shouted anxiously.

Having watched Lao Liu in so many matches, this was the first time it had seen him so badly outplayed in a 1v1 match.

Tu Lu Long’s lips curled up,

but when it saw Ting Bao appear unharmed, the corners of its mouth softened again.

Little Xun Bao, observing this from beyond the barrier, wasn’t particularly pleased, knowing that Ting Bao had activated his multi-scale ability, a trait that could only be activated once per match.

Ting Bao didn’t miss the opportunity to be stared at, his eyes wide and sharp.

Tu Lu Long felt an inexplicable fear surge within him.

It wasn’t a strong feeling, but it did prevent him from attacking immediately.

Ting Bao’s eyes flashed yellow, and suddenly arcs of yellow electricity appeared around him, converging into a grid that enveloped Tu Lu Long’s position.

By the time Tu Lu Long realized what was happening, the grid had already enveloped him.

“Tu Tu!”

Tu Lu Long roared.

Without wasting any time, Tingbao’s body once again erupted in a yellow arc of electricity, transforming into a frenzied serpent of lightning, which blasted towards the Earth Dragon.

The lightning’s force failed to penetrate the Earth Dragon’s surface. Facing the surrounding lightning attack, the Earth Dragon gave Tingbao a disdainful smile before burrowing into the ground and disappearing.

Tingbao paused, then instinctively erupted in an arc of electricity, transforming into a serpent of lightning, striking the Earth Dragon’s hole. Simultaneously

, a streak of white light erupted from below, soaring into the sky at astonishing speed. With

a “bang!”, it slammed heavily into Tingbao, who was still unleashing his lightning power.

“Tingting!”

Tingbao screamed, sending him flying backwards.

The Earth Dragon landed on the ground, staring down at its rammed opponent. It stomped its right foot downwards.

“Xunxun!”

Little Xunbao cried out, as if realizing something.

Unfortunately, it was to no avail.

Within the barrier, beneath where Tingbao had been flung, a rock spike about a meter long suddenly emerged and pierced its body.

“Tingting!”

Tingbao screamed again, rocks shattering and dust billowing.

Little Xunbao covered his eyes, afraid to watch.

When the dust settled, Tingbao collapsed to the ground, eyes closed and unconscious.

“Tutu.”

Tululong curled his lips, as if anticipating this outcome.

“Dede.”

The elderly insect-type pet glanced at the fallen Tingbao, blew the whistle to signal the end, and called out.

A virtual panel appeared above Tingbao and Tululong simultaneously. In the points column, one subtracted one, the other added one.

The surrounding insect-type pets cheered.

The barrier vanished.

“Xunxun!”

Little Xunbao teleported to Tingbao’s side, his face filled with worry.

Tingbao was unconscious, unable to respond.

Surrounded by a group of insect-type pets, Tululong turned and left.

…

Villa, open-air training ground.

“Xiaxia.” Xia Lala handed over a piece of grass.

Qiao Sang thanked him, took it, and nodded at Yabao.

“Come on.”

“Yabao!”

Yabao called out with a serious expression, then opened his mouth and blew golden flames at the grass held by his beastmaster.

A warm warmth spread across his body, but Qiao Sang didn’t let go.

The grass swayed slightly in the golden flames, but it was unharmed.

“Yabao!”

Yabao called out excitedly.

The flames vanished.

“Not bad, it seems you can now independently control the purification and damage of the sacred fire,” Qiao Sang smiled.

“Yabao!”

Yabao called out eagerly, indicating that it wanted to find a target to purify.

“Yabao?”

After saying that, it seemed to have an idea and called out, saying that when Xiao Xunbao returned, it could have him curse a target and let it try.

“Xiao Xunbao and Tingbao should be back in the evening,” Qiao Sang said. “Practice a few more times. Once you’ve cast the Holy Fire a hundred times and it works flawlessly every time, we can try to find a cursed target.”

After all, the Holy Fire is incredibly powerful. If you miscontrol it and use it incorrectly, not only will the purification fail, but the person might even die. To be on the safe side, we need to practice the skill again until we’re absolutely sure.

“Ya Ya,”

Yabao nodded, understanding.

Just as it was about to go back to training, it suddenly sensed something and looked up.

Xiao Xunbao and Tingbao appeared out of thin air.

“Xun Xun!”

Xiao Xunbao cried out anxiously as they landed on the ground with Tingbao.

Qiao Sang looked over and saw Tingbao with his eyes closed. The first thought that flashed through her mind was:

Is Tingbao about to molt again?

Then came the second: No, Tingbao is injured.

Realizing Tingbao was injured, she immediately called out, “Lubao.”

Lubao stopped training and walked over. Without a word, the gemstone on her forehead shone a faint blue light onto Tingbao.

“What’s going on?” Qiao Sang asked, looking at little Xunbao.

Tingbao had been injured a few times in the past two weeks since the competition, but he’d always returned at night. Not only was he awake, but he’d also already collected 200 points. This was the first time Tingbao had returned home injured in broad daylight.

“Xunxun.”

“Xunxun.”

“Xunxun…”

Little Xunbao sighed and recounted Tingbao’s recent competition.

By then, the faint blue light had faded, and Tingbao had regained consciousness. As he listened to little Xunbao’s words, his head lowered, feeling a little ashamed to face his own beastmaster.

Qiao Sang was stunned after hearing this, then asked,

“You said Tingbao met the number one-ranked Earth Dragon?”

“Xunxun~”

Little Xunbao nodded.

What a coincidence! Tingbao ran into Earth Dragon right after watching the news about it this morning… Qiao Sang thought.

She wasn’t particularly surprised that Tingbao lost to Earth Dragon.

Earth Dragon, a dual-attribute pet with both ground and dragon attributes, naturally had a counterbalance against Tingbao. Furthermore, Tingbao was young and had only shed once. The other pet ranked first in the free pet points competition, clearly demonstrating its strength. It was understandable that it lost.

“Tingting…”

Tingbao buried his head, feeling down. He didn’t care

about first place or not; he only knew he’d lost.

“Ya Ya,”

Yabao heard and, seeing Tingbao’s state, called out in comfort, saying there was no need to be sad. It was just a loss, it could just win it back.

“Tingting.”

Tingbao’s eyes lit up for a moment, then a thought struck him. He shook his head and called out, suggesting that he’d better forget it. He still had to accumulate 200 points every day, so he didn’t have time to find another opponent for a one-on-one battle. Even if he did find one, he wouldn’t necessarily win.

“Who said that?” Qiao

Sang asked. Tingbao was stunned for a moment and looked over

. “Do you want to fight it again?

” Qiao

Sang asked, looking at it. “Tingting.” Tingbao was silent for a moment, then nodded honestly.

He wanted to.

“Ya Ya!”

Yabao called out.

That’s right, no one would just give in after losing.

“Then find that Earth Dragon again and fight it,” Qiao Sang said.

According to the rules of the competition, pets that have already been battled cannot be challenged again, as this would be seen as cheating. However, if the losing party actively challenges the winning party, there’s no problem, but there’s only one chance.

“Tingting…”

Tingbao called out hesitantly.

Could it possibly defeat the opponent? And what about those 200 points…

Qiao Sang interrupted, “Tingbao, we’re going to participate in the StarCraft Cup. Along the way, there might be many opponents who can defeat you. What we need to do is strive to become stronger, defeat these opponents, and then leave them far behind.” After a pause

, she added, “As for the 200 points, it won’t affect our accumulation at all. You’ll have extra time to train every day when you come back. If things don’t work out, we can reduce the daily points accumulated.”

At this time, rather than seeking out weaker opponents to accumulate points, it’s more important to find an opponent who has already defeated them and then defeat them.

“Tingting!”

Tingbao was stunned for a moment, then his eyes lit up and he nodded and called out, indicating that he would definitely defeat that guy.

After saying that, he suddenly thought of something and looked at Little Xunbao, calling out,

“Tingting.”

Let’s find another opponent to compete with. First, collect the points we need to accumulate today.

Little Xunbao: “…”

Since our own Beastmaster has already said so, can’t you just go ahead and say you want to train and defeat that Earth Dragon first?

Before Little Xunbao could respond, Qiao Sang pulled out his phone, checked the time, and said,

“No matter how many points you accumulate today, come back before 4 pm. We’ll do targeted training then.”

“Tingting,”

Tingbao called out seriously, indicating that he understood.

Accumulating points was a task assigned by their Beastmaster, and defeating the Earth Dragon was what he wanted to do.

“Xunxun~”

Little Xunbao quickly followed suit.

“Xunxun~”

After that, Little Xunbao didn’t immediately leave with Tingbao. Instead, he scooted over to his Beastmaster and barked, grinning, suggesting that since he was coming back so early, if he didn’t accumulate 200 points, he wouldn’t have to increase his main body training time.

Qiao Sang smiled at it and said, “As long as you don’t take Tingbao out to play.”

“Qingqing.”

Qingbao floated over and called out, offering to help keep an eye on them.

As he spoke, a Qingyun Nana, a creature identical to it, appeared nearby.

Little Xunbao: “…”

Little Xunbao glanced at Qingbao, then suddenly his eyes glowed blue, and he vanished with Tingbao.

Seeing this, Qingbao calmly closed his eyes.

Suddenly, the wind suddenly began to blow.

Qingbao opened his eyes.

Soon, the wind swirled.

Qingbao channeled his energy, and his clone followed the wind’s direction, transforming into the wind and vanishing.

“Ya Ya!”

Yabao called out to his beastmaster, signaling he was off to train.

With that, he turned and headed towards the garden.

“Xia Xia!”

Xia Lala seemed to understand something and quickly floated over, extending her arms to block the view, shaking her head.

“Ya Ya,”

Yabao called out, indicating you have to trust me. I’ve mastered the control.

“Xia Xia!”

Xia Lala remained unmoved, shaking her head firmly.

“Ya Bao, don’t go to the garden to practice with flowers and plants,” Qiao Sang observed.

“Ya Ya…”

Ya Bao gave a “OK then” expression and turned toward a nearby rock.

He believed that flowers and plants were the most fragile, and that if they weren’t burned, it would better demonstrate his control. Unfortunately, his own beastmaster and Xia Lala disagreed.

“Xia Xia,”

Xia Lala breathed a sigh of relief, floating to Qiao Sang’s side and smiling sweetly.

Qiao Sang smiled back and turned toward the living room.

“Mo Mo?”

The Dragon King, resting his head on his paws, leaned sideways on the sofa, watching TV. Seeing Qiao Sang enter, he turned and called out nonchalantly.

Did the little creature lose?

It had overheard the conversation outside.

“We’ll win it back,” Qiao Sang said, sitting down on a chair at the dining table.

“Mo Mo,”

the Dragon King called out, implying that if you had contracted those little creatures from my tribe, you wouldn’t have lost to a pet of the same rank.

Qiao Sang said nothing, pulling out his phone and searching for information on the Earth Dragon.

The Dragon King, finding it uninteresting, returned to watching TV.

The Earth Dragon, a dual-attribute pet of both ground and dragon attributes, possessed formidable defense and endurance for a mid-level pet, along with impressive attack power… Even among dragon-type pets, it was considered a relatively strong one, no wonder it had consistently topped the points rankings… Qiao Sang sighed inwardly after reading the information and began searching for videos of Earth Dragon battles.

As the Earth Dragon that has long dominated the rankings for points, it must have attracted the attention of many beastmasters and pets. There must be videos of it competing in pet free points competitions on the Internet.

Sure enough, as soon as he searched, a bunch of videos appeared below.

Qiao Sang began to check.

…

Four thirty in the afternoon.

Xiao Xunbao and Tingbao appeared out of thin air in the living room. Tingbao

looked around.

“Grind.”

The Dragon King knew what it was looking for, pointed in the direction of the open-air training ground with the claws that had just picked its nose, and called out.

“Tingting.”

Tingbao glanced at it, called out, and flew towards the open-air training ground.

“Tingting.”

Soon, it saw the figure of its own beastmaster and sped up to fly over.

“You’re back.” Qiao Sang heard the movement and turned around and said.

“Tingting.”

Tingbao nodded and called out, indicating that it could now carry out targeted training.

Qiao Sang looked at it, was silent for a moment, and said in a deep voice: “That Earth Dragon has the characteristics of a lightning rod.” (End of this chapter)
